Why a twilight tour?
The Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS) is the biggest garden event in the southern hemisphere. And it's the happiest place on earth for 5 days every year!!!
The gardens & grounds look particularly spectacular in the autumnal evening light & the crowds aren't as hectic either.
On the tour I'll introduce you to the garden designers and landscapers who created them - where possible -and explain their story.
Where possible we will step into the gardens for you to explore them from a completely different perspective.
Once the tour concludes at 6.30pm, you'll still have another 3 hours inside the show grounds to watch the gardens light up as night falls. You can also grab drinks and dinner too!
What does the Tour include?
a small group tour with no more than 25 people at 5pm on either Friday 27th or Sat 28th March 2026
exclusive access to some of the show gardens
step inside some of the gardens to see them from a completely different perspective
the chance to speak with available garden designers and ask questions
my commentary on the show gardens we visit including information on hardscaping materials and plant selection.

More important details
1. YOU MUST also purchase an entry ticket to the show via melbflowershow.com.au. This TOUR TICKET does not grant you entry into the show. Purchase tickets to enter the show here.
2. The tour is LIMITED to 25 spots.
3. This is a walking tour. Reasonable mobility will be required from attendees, including walking between show gardens and some steps if needed to access the gardens. I can not guarantee access to gardens if you are in a wheelchair or have limited mobility - sorry.
4. NO REFUNDS - unfortunately I will not issue refunds for change of mind or no shows. If you would like to transfer you ticket to someone else if you can't go, that's fine - please just let me know their name & email before the tour. The tour starts promptly at 5pm - please be at our departure location 15 minutes before so you do not miss us!
5. WET WEATHER - in the event of wet weather please bring an umbrella and appropriate clothing/shoes - THE TOUR WILL STILL GO AHEAD!
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do we meet for the tour?
The tour commences from INSIDE the grounds of the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show at 5pm on both the Friday and Saturday evenings.
Details on WHERE and WHEN to meet pre-tour at 4.45pm will be supplied in the booking confirmation email.
REMEMBER - you will need to purchase your show entry ticket separately here.
Can I get a refund?
No sorry I do not offer refunds for any reason. You can however transfer your ticket to a friend or family member. Please just let me know their contact details if you would like to do this so I can arrange for them to get the pre-tour information they need.
If the tour wheelchair, impaired mobility or pram friendly?
No sorry, as we will be walking into the garden spaces where possible - you will NOT be able to join in this part of the tour. If however you're happy to just stick to the main paths then yes you could still enjoy the tour, but you'd not have garden access.
